Does my boat come with a cover?

Surfski: Only AIR & SCS layup boats include a boat cover in the price. We offer a discount on boat covers for WWR layups, when ordered with your new surfski order.

Kayak / Canoe: FC, SCS & E layup includes a cover, all other constructions it can be added on (we offer a discount on covers ordered with boats).

Do you ship?

We work with shippers that can carry fragile, composite racing craft, and can deliver to central drop-off points. Due to the size of the trailers our shippers use, house drop-offs are not possible. You will need to meet the shipper at a central pick-up point near the highway, and will therefore need to be able to car-top your new boat. In some instances, we can work around this, but it's on a case-by-case basis.

What can I expect in the custom order process?

The first step is to fill out an order form From there a member of our team will reach out to set up your invoice. We use QuickBooks software, please be on the lookout for your invoice. We require a 50% deposit up front, and the final payment is due when the boat leaves our factory in Portugal.

Once your deposit is paid, and we have your design, we will place your order on our next available shipment.

Once the shipment has arrived, local pickup is free from our warehouses. We require local pick-up within one week of the container arrival. If you need extra time to come and pick up your boat, we can arrange storage at our facility - please reach out for pricing. If you need shipping, we will work with you to find a shipper. The shippers we work with tend to have very large trailers, making house deliveries problematic. They can meet at a central pick up point near a major highway. You will more than likely need to be able to car-top your boat from the pick-up point.

What does my new kayak come with?

Accepted Answer

Our stock kayak’s come with a full carbon footrest and adjustable neoprene pull strap. This can be changed to a different pull bar if needed, or a double neoprene strap. The kayak has a standard carbon seat, unless otherwise mentioned. Again, we can switch this out for a different seat type.

Boat covers can be purchased to be shipped with your kayak (and any other accessories - spray skirt, paddle etc.)

Does color add weight to a boat?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the more colors you use, the heavier your boat will turn out. Also note that brighter colors are lighter. Using just one color will help keep a boat's weight down.

Can I store my boat in the sun?

Accepted Answer

We recommend always storing your boat in a cool, shady area. If you have to store it in the sun, we do sell UV covers, that will protect it from the sun’s damage.

Where are you based?

Our main warehouse is in the Gorge, WA, about an hour inland of Portland, OR. We have partners in Florida, California and along the West Coast.

Can I get a custom design on my new boat?

Accepted Answer

Great! You have a few options – for WWR and F construction boats, you can use the Nelo Design Tool. For SCS boats, you can use the Nelo Design Tool, Purchase a custom design or work with a designer from PaddleSports Design.

How should I care for my boat?

Always rinse your boat with fresh water after use, especially in salt water, and wipe down with a chamois.
