Q: Does my boat come with a cover?

Surfski: Only AIR & SCS layup boats include a boat cover in the price. We offer a discount on boat covers for WWR layups, when ordered with your new surfski order. Kayak / Canoe: FC, SCS & E layup includes a cover, all other constructions it can be added on (we offer a discount on covers ordered with boats). Rowing: Yes

Q: How do I get in contact with Nelo USA?

Q: How Do I Place An Order?

For custom orders, please fill out an order form . For an inventory order, please fill out an inventory order form, which you will find by clicking on the inventory boat on our stock page here .

Q: I want a simple design on my new boat - is that possible?

Great, you can either use the Nelo Design tool or just give us your color choice (let us know the RAL code).

Q: What can I expect in the custom order process?

The first step is to fill out an order form From there a member of our team will reach out to set up your invoice. We use QuickBooks software, please be on the lookout for your invoice. We require a 50% deposit up front, and the final payment is due when the boat leaves our factory in Portugal. Once your deposit is paid, and we have your design, we will place your order on our next available shipment. Once the shipment has arrived, local pickup is free from our warehouses. We require local pick-up within one week of the container arrival. If you need extra time to come and pick up your boat, we can arrange storage at our facility - please reach out for pricing. If you need shipping, we will work with you to find a shipper. The shippers we work with tend to have very large trailers, making house deliveries problematic. They can meet at a central pick up point near a major highway. You will more than likely need to be able to car-top your boat from the pick-up point.

Does color add weight to a boat?

Yes, the more colors you use, the heavier your boat will turn out. Also note that brighter colors are lighter.

How should I care for my boat?

Always rinse your boat with fresh water after use, especially in salt water, and wipe down with a chamois. Make sure to rinse the metal parts.

How should I transport my boat?

The safest way to car-top your boat is in slings, this allows the least amount of pressure to be placed on the boat. If you do not own slings, make sure you have good quality foam on your roof racks, never tie on too tightly, and the wider your roof racks apart on your roof, the better.
